OCTOBER RETURNS SUMMARY

38 orders were returned in October, with a total value of $2,308.

Reason Returns Share Value
Damaged in transit 13 34% $761
Wrong item sent 9 24% $480
No longer needed 7 18% $476
Faulty product 5 13% $378
Arrived late 4 11% $213
Total 38 100% $2,308

Findings
1. Damage in transit is the largest single reason: 13 of 38 returns.
2. Wrong item sent (9 returns, $480) is a picking error, which is the
one reason fully inside our control.
3. I have not compared with September. September's export was not
available when I wrote this, so I cannot say whether any reason
   is rising or falling.

PROCESS RECORD
AI-USE RECORD
Label: AI allowed — keep a record
Assistant: approved internal assistant
Date(s): 3 November
Prompts: "Count the rows in this CSV by the reason column and sum
value_usd for each reason. Show a table." (CSV attached)
What I kept: the table layout
What I changed: wrote all three findings myself
What I verified: - Opened the CSV in a spreadsheet: 38 rows, SUM of
                    value_usd = 2308. Matches the order system's own
October returns report (38 returns, $2,308).
                  - Filtered the spreadsheet by each reason and checked
every count and value in the table. All match.
                  - Percentages recalculated by hand from the counts.
Not checked: whether the order system classifies reasons correctly.
